Kraig Biocraft, Warwick Mills sign agreement

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc., developer of advanced spider silk-based fibers, and Warwick Mills Inc., manufacturer of advanced technical textiles and other protective materials, jointly announced that they have signed a collaborative agreement concerning the development and commercialization of advanced textiles utilizing Kraig’s Monster Silk™ recombinant spider silk technology.

The two companies will jointly develop innovative textile products based on Kraig’s Monster Silk fibers and will jointly own textile product-related intellectual property, which is developed as a result of the collaboration.

Initial focus will be on Monster Silk weaving, testing and near-term applications. The companies believe that this relationship will help expedite the commercialization of Monster Silk and future spider silk-based technical fibers.
