German natural-fibers textile developer NATURFASERN has recently released Caregora angora fiber. Suitable for a wide range of textile and apparel applications, it is finer than cashmere; is soft, lightweight and delicate; and, according to the company, possesses the highest heat retention and best moisture-wicking properties of any natural fiber. Caregora also complies to the “Animal Welfare Code of Recommendations for the welfare of livestock,” promoted by the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and is certified by UL, the American product safety testing and certification organization, recognizing its animal husbandry standards.
