German nonwoven textiles developer Sandler AG has announced it will open a production plant in Perry, Ga., in 2016. It will be the company’s first production facility outside Germany.
“Establishing a new nonwovens manufacturing plant in the U.S. is an important decision from a strategic point of view and one of the most important steps in our company history,” CEO Christian Heinrich Sandler said in a press release. “Establishing a presence in Perry will allow us to answer to the increasing importance of the North American markets and to account for the growing demand from outside Europe. In this context, nonwovens for hygiene products are as important as our strongly growing involvement in acoustics, automotive and filtration.”
Headquartered in Schwarzenbach, Bavaria, privately owned Sandler AG is active in both durable applications, such as automotive and filtration, as well as disposable uses including personal hygiene and wipes.
