Device tests compression garments during movement

What's New? | January 26, 2018 | By:

Hohenstein Group has developed the next generation of its compression testing device, HOSYcan. The device records and analyzes compression measurements during movement and measures the interaction between different materials.

Combined with data from Hohenstein’s 3D scanning database, simulated movement profiles may provide increased accuracy for specific applications. HOSYcan is designed to measure in static and dynamic conditions, and a combination of the two. The device can be adjusted and programmed for circumferences up to 150 centimeters.

The company reports that the compression testing device should enable application-specific product development, refining material selection, product design and modifications, and possibly shortening development time.

The new HOSYcan device will be on display in the Hohenstein Group booth at the 2018 Outdoor Retailer show.

The Hohenstein Institute was founded in 1946 as an independent and privately owned research and teaching center for the textile and clothing industry and for commercial textile care companies.
