ORORO Heated Apparel, based in Las Vegas, has announced a four-year partnership with the USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) team. ORORO will be the presenting sponsor of the USABS National Team Trials (2022-2026), an event that determines which athletes will make the national team. ORORO will be providing heated gloves, mittens and heated socks to the USA bobsled and skeleton national teams.
The company introduced what it says is the world’s first carbon nanotube heated socks in 2020. Its “Redwood” socks use ultra-thin u-shaped carbon nanotube heating elements, an innovation that allows for instant heating and even heat distribution.
“USA bobsled and skeleton teams compete in extreme cold conditions,” said USABS CEO Aron McGuire. “We are looking forward to ORORO helping to keep our athletes and coaches warm throughout the season.” The company’s mission is to give customers the power to be active, no matter what the temperature is, and the company views sponsoring the USA Bobsled team as an extension of that mission.
USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS), based in Lake Placid, N.Y., is the national governing body for the sports of bobsled and skeleton in the U.S.
