KizON wristband tracks a child’s location

What's New? | September 8, 2014 | By:

LG has announced a wristband tracking device for children. Using GPS and Wi-Fi, the new KizON wristband is designed as a wearable for preschool and primary school children, providing real-time location information that parents can track on their smartphones.

Additionally, with One Step Direct Call, parents can communicate with their children, or children can dial a preconfigured phone number with one press of the button. If the child fails to answer a call from any of the preconfigured numbers within ten seconds, KizON will automatically connect the call to let the parents listen through a built-in microphone. Another important function of KizON is Location Reminder, which gives adults the ability to preset the device to provide location alerts at specific times throughout the day.

Battery life for KizON is rated for 36 hours and parents will be alerted via their smartphones when the battery in KizON needs to be recharged. The band is constructed of eco-friendly polythiourethane (PTU) material that is water and stain resistant.

KizON made its public debut in South Korea July 10 and will be in North America and Europe later this year.
