Bursa, Turkey-based Durak Tekstil has developed Durak Maxibalance, a new product engineered with bio-ceramic and FAR (far infrared) IR technology. The company, a manufacturer of industrial sewing and embroidery threads, says its bio-ceramic embroidery thread offers features designed to support balance and movement comfort by reflecting the energy absorbed from the body back into it.
Evaluating the vision behind the new product, Yiğit Durak, vice chairman of the board at Durak Tekstil, said, “At the Durak Tekstil R&D Center, our goal was to transcend the traditional decorative purpose of embroidery thread and actively support user comfort. This interdisciplinary endeavor, combining infrared technology with textiles, holds the potential to break new ground in activewear, everyday apparel, and medical/supportive textiles.”
The bio-ceramics integrated into the embroidery thread absorb the FAR IR energy naturally emitted by the body and reflect it back into the tissues. This process contributes to maintaining body temperature, alleviating muscle soreness, strengthening balance, and boosting athletic performance.
Emphasizing that this thread is not a medical device but rather a functional thread technology, Yiğit Durak continued, “Although improvements in balance and performance vary depending on an individual’s physiological structure and the activity performed, we have achieved promising field results when Maxibalance thread is utilized. In addition to its functional properties, our Durak Maxibalance thread reflects our superior quality standards in embroidery performance, process compatibility, and durability.”
