In just its second generation, ASICS GT-1000 2 running shoe has been named Runner’s World magazine’s “best buy” in its 2013 Winter Shoe Guide. The magazine cited the shoe’s cushioning and new design, along with a price tag of $100, among its winning attributes.
An update on the previous version of the shoe, the GT-1000 2 features increased Rearfoot GEL Cushioning and a sleek new upper. A supportive option for mild to moderate overpronation—favoring the inner foot—it also offers a full-length SpEVA Midsole and a full rubber forefront outsole.
“The bottom line is the GT-1000 2 is a bargain for such a durable, versatile running shoe,” the magazine noted. Founded in 1941, ASICS is based in Irvine, Calif.
