In case you’ve been wondering how you might enhance your Pokémon Go experience, there is a startup company ready to offer you a solution this fall. Vixole is combining footwear and technology to help people step up their Pokémon Go game, with what the shoe company describes as “e-sneakers.” Furthermore, the company says these are the first customizable e-sneakers with a built-in display.
The New York-based startup’s footwear is designed with built-in sensors and LEDs that allow wearers to interact with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) games, including Pokémon Go. The footwear is supposed to vibrate and light up when a Pokémon is close by and deliver notifications as to its whereabouts.
The company is scheduled to launch a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter in September.
