Avgol launches Waveform 3D

What's New? | August 1, 2018 | By:

Avgol will launch a new three-dimensional concept for fabrics in hygiene applications, a recent release says.

Avgol’s Waveform 3D Technology process is designed to enable modification of nonwoven fabrics for baby diapers, adult incontinence and feminine hygiene markets.

The technology creates fiber structures with distinctive surface patterns that add a three-dimensional effect to flat fabrics, with the intent of providing skin protection, increased cushioning and enhanced cotton-feel. When combined with Avgol’s FIT family of technologies, precursor fabrics can be used to enhance liquid management qualities.

The company says that the technology allows product designers to choose solid, aperture or combination patterns for a tailored application that includes how the fabric looks, feels and functions.
