Japanese bio-venture company Spiber Inc. announces the continuation of its successful partnership with Consinee Group Co. Ltd., a developer of premium yarns for luxury knitwear and woven garments. Spiber is known for its Brewed Protein™ fiber, produced through a new fermentation technology.
Begun in 2023, this collaboration has allowed the two companies to explore new possibilities by combining Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ fiber with Consinee’s expertise in spinning high-quality yarns. The partnership between Spiber and Consinee Group has already yielded promising results, with several innovative yarns now available for sale. These yarns, which are composed of between 30 percent to 100 percent Brewed Protein™ fiber, are suitable for knitwear applications.
