The Design for Technology Integration with Electronic Textiles Workshop will be held at North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles October 29-30, 2026. Organized in collaboration with the University of Southampton, U.K. it’s being hosted by Dr. Amanda Mills and Dr. Marie O’Mahony.
Smart textiles are transforming the future of wearables in applications from PPE to sports, health, fashion and space, with growing interest from many sectors in building knowledge and practical experience in e-textiles. This hands-on workshop bridges the gap between advanced textile fabrication and electronic integration and includes demonstrations, hands-on making, as well as design and trend forecasting skills.
