Huntsman joins Roadmap to Zero

EcoNote | July 2, 2019 | By:

Huntsman Textile Effects announced recently it will join the ZDHC Foundation as a contributor. ZDHC oversees the Roadmap to Zero Programme, a global collaboration to implement safer chemical management.

As a contributor, the company will upload key products onto the ZDHC Gateway Chemical Module; support the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substance List; and support the related “pyramid” conformity system designed to eliminate duplicative approaches.

The company says involvement with ZDHC reinforces Huntsman’s commitment to sustainable textile dyes and to reducing the industry’s environmental footprint and eliminating hazardous chemicals. “The collaboration with ZDHC is an important step in our journey towards a clean, compliant, ethical and thriving textile industry,” said Rohit Aggarwal, Huntsman Textile Effects president.

Huntsman Corp. is a publicly traded global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated and specialty chemicals. It is also a member of the Global Chemical Industry Round Table Initiative.
