Motorcycle denim created for protection and comfort

Armalith®, touted as “the world’s strongest denim” by its French manufacturer, announces testing results that describe the product’s seven levels of protection, ranging from the most everyday uses (micro-mobility) to the most extreme (Moto GP). They are expressed by a maximum speed of resistance during a standardized motorcycle fall (17 092 Darmstadt) as well as a sliding distance during which the skin is protected (13 595-2 Cambridge).

The denim fabric is light at 14 oz., breathable with 75 percent cotton fiber content, and supple, with 10 percent Lycra content giving it 28 percent stretch . Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) provides protection on the outside.
