The Mitchell Group, Niles, Ill., has announced that its Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate fabrics now hold the highest hydrolysis ratings for polyurethane fabrics. Recent hydrolysis tests for the fabrics have returned novel results, setting a new benchmark for durability and performance in the performance textiles market.
The hydrolysis test measures the resistance of materials to degradation when exposed to moisture and heat. The new test results for Mitchell’s Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate fabrics demonstrated longevity under these conditions:
- Sta-Kleen Polyurethane
- Wet process: 19 weeks (includes Bubble and Harmony patterns)
- Dry process: 24 weeks (includes Highwood, Hudson, Lodge, Payson and Tucson patterns)
- Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate
- All patterns: 24 weeks
“Our Sta-Kleen Polyurethane and Sta-Kleen Polycarbonate products are designed to provide unmatched durability and longevity for our customers, and this new rating affirms that we’re delivering on our promise of superior performance. We’re excited to continue raising the bar in the market and offering products that withstand rigorous use as they should,” says Bill Fisch, president of The Mitchell Group.
