New line of air-lay nonwovens from Bouckaert

Industry News | February 8, 2017 | By:

Textile World reports that Bouckaert Industrial Textiles has acquired a new 3.4-meter-wide air-lay line from Laroche S.A. and TechnoPlants S.r.l. The material will primarily serve the thermal and acoustical insulation markets and, secondarily, specialty filtration and conveyor belting.

The line represents an investment of more than $3 million. The company expects to produce 8 million to 10 million pounds of material per year in response to customers’ requests. The line, located in the northeastern U.S., is scheduled to be online the second quarter of 2017 and to add 15 new specialized manufacturing jobs.

Bouckaert Industrial Textiles (BIT) is a roll goods producer of diverse nonwovens for the thermal and acoustical insulation, equestrian, automotive, specialty filtration, vibration dampening, green-roof and industrial markets.
