Polyfab USA LLC of Manhattan Beach, Calif., has released a new seal to indicate that their complete range of Polyfab Shadecloth products are 100 percent lead-free and phthalate free. Products include:

  • Polytex, a seven-ounce, superior fire-rated, knitted, high-density polyethylene shade fabric designed for use in modular shade structures and shade sails;
  • Comtex, a ten-ounce fabric designed for large, tension membrane structures and architectural shade sails;
  • Architec 400, a twelve-ounce, heavy-duty, knitted shade fabric designed for larger tension membrane structures and architectural shade sails.

The new fabric has been in development for more than three years, with a targeted clientele of school districts and playground equipment companies that require shade structures conforming to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.
