High-performance textile maker Auburn Manufacturing of Mechanic Falls, Maine, has named Mary K. Wagner its new technical and product-development manager. She will oversee and direct all technical aspects of the company’s products with a heavy concentration on innovation.
Wagner, a native of Maine, holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine at Orono. She most recently held positions at Great Northern Paper and Verso Paper.
Auburn Manufacturing specializes in fire- and heat-resistant materials, exporting textiles to more than 35 countries. Its newest products, Ever Green Cut’nWrap Modular Insulation Kits utilize computer-aided manufacturing to create modular, flexible pipe and valve insulation for significant carbon reduction and energy savings in university, healthcare, government and industrial facilities.
