Sixteen companies will showcase products designed for extreme sports applications in a special display on the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo show floor. The show runs Oct. 14–16 in the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, Minn. Products range from apparel for protection from cold and heat, to scuba diving gear, to climbing boots and gear, and boats.
Among the particularly unique products are the Sabertooth, a small craft designed for whitewater boating, shown by AIRE Inc., and Squirrel LLC’s AURA wingsuit. Olympic Ski Gloves by Slytech (with HDM Inc.), the type worn by Ted Legety on his gold medal run will be shown, as well as gear worn on a Mt. Everest climb. Rave Sports shows a standup, inflatable paddleboard and an inflatable kayak.
Companies represented include First Line Technology, Apex Mills, A&R Tarps, Schoeller Textiles, AIRE Inc., Top Value Fabrics, Slytech, HDM Inc., DC Shoes, Dive Rite, Held, Ziener Gloves, Lowa, Millet, Rave Sports and Squirrel LLC.
