Former IFAI Board chair Don Williams dies at 74

Don Williams, southwest sales representative for BondCote Corp., passed away June 9 at his home in Amarillo, Texas. He was 74.

Williams served on the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) board of directors from 1985–2001 and as chair from 1997–1999. An IFAI Honored Life Member and a certified Master Fabric Craftsman, he was an active supporter of the association, participating in numerous IFAI Expos and serving on multiple committees.

In an effort to give back to the industry, Williams was the impetus behind the Industrial Fabrics Foundation Scholarship, which gives funds to students interested in a career in the specialty fabrics industry.

Williams served numerous roles in a career spanned 50 years in the industry. He was most recently contracted with BondCote Corp. and MMI Textiles as a sales representative.
