Soxxy dips toe in therapeutic field

Westport, Conn.-based Soxxy has introduced a line of compression socks to the health and wellness community. Recommended by doctors, nurses, athletes and flight crews, Soxxys increase circulation and leg energy, as well as reduce swelling and decrease the risk of blood clots and deep vein thrombosis.

The socks are available as unisex thigh-highs (sizes large and extra-large) and unisex knee-highs (medium, large and extra-large), and will be available from vending machines in some doctors’ offices. The machine features a sizing chart and tape measure to help guide patients toward the correct fit. The product’s first vending machine is operational at the Vascular Experts Clinic in Stratford, Conn. and are also sold onboard airplanes, in hospitals, vein clinics and online.

Soxxy’s graduated compression increases circulation and reduces swelling and muscle soreness and are made of micro-nylon and Lycra.
