Singapore-based chemical specialist DyStar® Group has introduced Cadira Polyester as the second concept of its new Resource Efficiency Program.
The Cadira concepts reduce water, waste and energy consumption, and help brands and retailers and their production partners save resources, reduce the carbon footprint of their textile goods, and increase productivity by improving machinery use. The first concept of the Cadira Module, Cadira Reactive, launched in April.
Cadira Polyester combines Dianix® dyes and Sera® auxiliaries with the eliot™ process optimization tool Optidye® PES. The resource efficiency effects are achieved through three components:
- Optidye PES – Improves Right-First-Time performance and reduces energy, water and chemical consumption and the effluent load
- Scour/dyeing and in-bath reduction clearing reduces energy and water consumption
- Alternatives in reduction clearing reduces effluent load.
Cadira Polyester also cuts processing time, thus improving machinery usage. The benefits of a full optimization through Cadira Polyester can be up to 58 percent of productivity increase.
