AMSilk named one of 50 most innovative companies

AMSilk GmbH, Munich, Germany, announces that it was recently chosen by the German edition of MIT Technology Review as one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world. The list honors companies that have achieved a technological breakthrough by creating industry-changing products.

The company was named among the three finalists in the “Technology” category. The company will participate in the prize awarding ceremony in the Berlin Representation Office of Deutsche Telekom September 8.

AMSilk is a first-time honoree and was recognized for its bioengineered spider silk, a new material that has potential for applications in the medical, cosmetic and textile industries. The company is a worldwide supplier of synthetic silk biopolymers.
