Call for candidates for ATA Board of Directors positions

Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) is now accepting applications for open ATA Board of Directors positions.

The ATA Board of Directors relies on highly engaged, volunteer leadership that is willing to represent our members, work with ATA leadership staff and provide guidance in the direction of the association and its activities.

The ATA Leadership Development Committee is looking for enthusiastic applicants with strong leadership skills to fill the following positions:

• Director (3-year term)
  • 4 openings (two of these positions are currently held by individuals who are eligible to serve a second 3-year director term)

To be considered, a candidate must 1) be employed by a voting member company in good standing; 2) submit verbal or written confirmation that he/she wishes to be considered for a specific position; and 3) complete an application form, returning it to ATA, c/o Cherie Schmit, no later than June 5, 2026.

ATA’s Board of Directors are required to meet five times per year. Four of these are face-to-face meetings, and one is a conference call. The board “year” begins and ends during Advanced Textiles Expo®.

Each application will be reviewed by ATA’s Leadership Development Committee, and all candidates will be notified whether they have been elected to the position by June 22, 2026. Official notice of who has been elected will be sent to the membership company on or around July 13, 2026.
