Schoeller-works, DutchSpirit launch sustainable workwear

EcoNote | October 2, 2015 | By:

Swiss textiles maker schoeller-works has teamed with DutchSpirit of the Netherlands to introduce Inspire, a 100 percent recyclable workwear line. Inspire textiles consist entirely of polyester fibers with a look and feel similar to cotton, but their manufacture requires less water, land and energy consumption.

Additional qualities featured are Schoeller’s 3XDRY® finish, which repels water from the exterior of the garment while the interior absorbs moisture and transports it to the outside. It also provides a cooling effect in response to perspiration. Another available Schoeller technology is the new, fluorocarbon-free ecorepel® water- and dirt-repelling finish.

The Inspire textiles are available in various weights and either as plain weave or in a twill version. A supple soft-shell double fabric is also available and is breathable, hard-wearing and repels both water and dirt. In addition to classic yellow, blue and gray shades, Inspire is also available in EN ISO 20471 certified high-visibility colors.
