U.S. Secretary of Commerce to speak at Smart Fabrics Summit

The Smart Fabrics Summit, co-hosted by IFAI and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, will feature the closing keynote remarks by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross.

Speakers for the full-day event will cover topics including:

  • Education and collaboration
  • Trends in public and private partnerships
  • Intellectual property protection
  • Solar-powered fabrics
  • Data security and privacy

Ross has more than 55 years of investment banking and private equipty experience. He has restructured more than $400 billion in assets in industries from airlines, to credit cards, homebuilding, insurance, manufacturing and others. He has had leadership positions in more than 100 companies operating in over 20 countries. He was named by Bloomberg Markets as one of the 50 most influential people in global finance.
